An Overlooked, yet terrific film.
This movie was so much more than I expected going in. When I see other shonen manga turned into a feature film, its usually bland and clearly made for money. However this movie is more than that, and provides a story (that while not in the manga) provides satisfaction for any fan of Brotherhood. The animation is outstanding compared to the series, it was honestly surprising to see a film from Bones with so much liveliness in the animation after seeing the My Hero Academia movie which only had theatrical worthy animation in 2 scenes, with the rest feeling like an extended episode of the show. Though in this, the animation is far better throughout, which may seem a bit jarring at first, though you'll quickly learn to appreciate it after a few minutes in. By the time you finish the movie, you'll love just how gripping all of it is, and I give this a 9/10, and see it as a must buy for any fan of the series.Read full review

Two thumbs up from a long time fan
A good story and great animation sequences highlight this final chapter to the Fullmetal Alchemist saga. While the story takes place before the final episodes of the Brotherhood series, it is a sample of what may occur after the series ends and what Al and Ed may encounter in future travels. One can only hope that the series is extended in the future to see these new stories unfold.

a passable addition to the series
this movie was just ok, an elongated episode and not the best one at that
